The Columbia Klezmer Band, founded in 2000, is a group of talented Columbia, Barnard, and JTS students from a variety of musical backgrounds. Klezmer, the music we play, is the Jewish folk/dance music whose roots lie in old Eastern Europe.

Our current Klezmer coach is Jeff Warschauer, one of the foremost exponents of the Klezmer mandolin who has played and taught throughtout the United States, in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. We have just produced our first CD! Ordering information is now available!
